Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers OT Jonas Jennings (shoulder) suffered a dislocated right shoulder during the Week 16 game. Head coach Mike Nolan said the injury did not appear "significant at this time" and would not require surgery. He is listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

S Mark Roman (ankle) suffered a left ankle sprain Week 16. He is expected to return to the starting lineup Week 17.

Today, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters via a conference call. His team is coming off a 28-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and fell to 2-2 on the season. Shanahan provided several injury updates from the game. The most discussed injury was to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who could not start the second half, giving way to rookie Trey Lance. Shanahan said Garoppolo suffered a calf contusion and will be re-evaluated on Wednesday. Could rookie Trey Lance's first NFL start be on the horizon? San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters before today's practice and provided an update on starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. The veteran passer will not practice today during the team's first of three practices this week. The 49ers coach added that Garoppolo has not been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, though. "It's better today, which is good news," Shanahan said. "Not enough, though, to let him go [in practice], but also not enough to rule him out. The doctors still say [to] give him another day. The San Francisco 49ers are signing kicker Joey Slye, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. He will replace Robbie Gould, who is expected to miss three to five weeks due to a groin injury.
