49ers announce preseason schedule

The San Francisco 49ers have announced their 2015 preseason schedule. The team will start their exhibition games on the road in Houston to face the Texans.

The 49ers will host the Dallas Cowboys, a rare preseason matchup, and the San Diego Chargers, a preseason regular, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The team will also travel to Denver to play the Broncos.

Dates and times have not been set for non-nationally televised games, so fans will have to wait until later in the offseason to see exactly when the 49ers will face each opponent.

Week 1 - August 13-17
at Houston Texans

Week 2 - August 20-24
vs Dallas Cowboys

Week 3 - August 27-30
at Denver Broncos

Week 4 - September 3-4
vs San Diego Chargers

49ers place Ben Garland on injured reserve, announce other roster moves

The San Francisco 49ers officially announced the following three roster moves today. Cornerback Parnell Motley has completed COVID-19 protocols, passed his physical, and is now on the team's active roster. Offensive lineman Ben Garland has been placed on injured reserve. Tight end Daniel Helm has been waived. Garland suffered a calf strain on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams. The following rundown was provided by the 49ers Communications staff. The San Francisco 49ers have officially announced the trade for defensive end Jordan Willis of the New York Jets. The team sends a sixth-round draft pick in 2022 to the Jets in exchange for Willis, but receives a seventh-round draft pick in 2021. While news of the trade was reported last week, San Francisco could not officially announce the move until after Willis cleared COVID-19 protocols and a physical.
