Eighty-seven years of Washington's use of the often-criticized and offensive moniker "Redskins" is over. The team has officially announced that, moving forward, it will be known by a different name. What that name will be hasn't been made public, reportedly because of pending trademark issues. Washington is working to establish a new team name before the start of the 2020 season. Bryan DeArdo of CBS Sports decided to look back at the 1980s and identify his top-five rivalries of that decade. There are several to choose from, which might make such a subjective list challenging to create. The San Francisco 49ers were represented within the ranking, not once, but twice. Sitting at No. 5 was the rivalry between the 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings. It sounds like Matt Barrows of The Athletic knows which San Francisco 49ers player from last month's practices in Nashville tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
