According to agent Jeff Chilcoat, the San Francisco 49ers worked out free agent PK Josh Huston Tuesday, Oct. 24. Huston was with the Chicago Bears during training camp.
However, it looks like the team has decided to go with PK Shaun Suisham instead and have signed him to the practice squad.
Suisham, who played for Bowling Green in college, was with the Pittsburgh Steelers during his rookie season in 2005. He did not make the Steelers team and then joined the Dallas Cowboys practice squad before finally being signed to the 53-man roster and playing in 3 games. He was with Dallas this year before being waived last Tuesday.
