Over the past few days, Matt Maiocco has been hinting at a possible trade in his Press Democrat blog,
Instant 49ers. Could the San Francisco 49ers be targeting a cornerback?
When asked by a fan about a potential trade for a cornerback, Maiocco replied with the following:
I have credible information that something could happen. You'll be the first to know when I get it nailed down.
When asked again about the potential trade for a corner, Maiocco said this:
As for the news about the CB, you'll know when I get it nailed down. I don't want to start any rumors.
Maiocco has been very careful not to drop any player or team names but appears to feel that something may be in the works. The 49ers are currently ranked 25th in the league against the pass allowing 224 yards per game.

One year after trade, 49ers continue to strike gold with Christian McCaffrey
It's safe to say the San Francisco 49ers' decision to trade for running back Christian McCaffrey in 2022 has worked out about as well as it possibly could have to this point.
Not every trade has turned out that way for the 49ers in recent years, to say the least, but the move to acquire McCaffrey currently ranks as one of the best moves the team has made since general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan came on board in 2017. McCaffrey has become the focal point on a star-studded offense and is proving on a weekly basis that he is more than worthy of the price the 49ers paid to acquire him (a second, a third, a fourth, and a fifth-round pick) from the Carolina Panthers on October 20,

With the announcement that Snead would be called up, one may assume that 49ers wideout Deebo Samuel's status would be trending down, as the 49ers expect to add another wideout to the active roster for Week 4.
However, it's actually the opposite.
Looking at the injury report, the 49ers aren't at risk of just missing Samuel, but

The San Francisco 49ers handily defeated the New York Giants in Week 3, winning 30-12 to improve to 3-0 on their season, scoring over 30 points for the third consecutive week of the season.
Despite the comfortable win, the 49ers were nowhere near the "A-Game" offensively, struggling on some early drives and kicking field goals when touchdown opportunities were present, ultimately showcasing how dangerous this offense could be.
While there were missed opportunities present last Thursday, another element that the 49ers were missing was emerging wideout Brandon Aiyuk, who was inactive due to a shoulder

The San Francisco 49ers have dominated through three games this season, outscoring opponents 92-42 en route to a 3-0 record, which only has been matched by two other teams in the NFL thus far.
Through three games, the 49ers have started strong, forcing opponents to implement more of a pass-heavy approach, while their opponents haven't been strong rushing teams as well.
In Week 1, the Pittsburgh Steelers threw the ball 46 times, rushing just 10 times in a 30-7 loss to San Francisco. The Los Angeles Rams had 55 passing attempts and 22 rushes in Week 2, while the New York Giants had 33 passing attempts to 11 rushes in Week
