Anthony Dixon has never had any trouble keeping people up to date on Twitter with what is going on in his life. That trend does not stop during free agency. The San Francisco 49ers free agent running back stated that he is now headed to Buffalo, New York, most likely for a visit with the Bills.
He had previously been visiting with the Tennessee Titans where Sylvester Croom is the running backs coach for the Titans and recruited Dixon at Mississippi State.
It was never really expected that Dixon would return to the 49ers as the team has shown little interest in keeping him. Running back is one of the deepest positions on the roster for the 49ers.
Dixon was drafted by the 49ers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. In four seasons with the 49ers, he has had 458 yards on 148 carries, and 8 rushing touchdowns.
On Rotoworld, Dixon is listed as the seventh best free agent running back still available.
