49ers front office on their way to Miami

Feb 27, 2014 at 4:25 PM--

The 49ers front office jumps on a private charter to Miami and speculation around the web starts to go wild. Turron Davenport of Niner Talk Central posted the following on Twitter earlier:

Apparently, the flight has Jed and John York, Trent Baalke, Paraag Marathe, and legal/executive assistant Micheline Capaci.

In response, Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee humorously tweeted the following:

Jed York even tweeted the following in response to Davenport, confirming that he was in fact on the flight (It was reported earlier that it was just John York and not Jed York):

It could be that the entire front office is on the way to make some sort of trade. It could be that they are on their way to work on a contract with a 49ers free agent or extend someone's contract. It could be that they are all taking a fun vacation together. You take your coworkers on vacation too, right?

Turron Davenport later stated the following:

He also stated that "it is rare that two execs arrive for days before a meeting."

Why do you think the 49ers front office is headed to Miami?

The 49ers have a Super Bowl-caliber roster, and it's obvious after the first week of camp that the players and coaches are hungry to prove that their Super Bowl run in 2019 was not a fluke. On its roster, the team still has quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, the player who piloted that 2019 offense. But the 49ers also traded three first-round picks this offseason to move up to the third pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and selected quarterback Trey Lance out of North Dakota St. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has consistently said that there is no quarterback competition for the starting spot, but the chatter coming out of camp is that Trey Lance has looked very impressive, while Garoppolo has looked good, if unspectacular. Many have argued that Lance is not ready to start in the

How well do the 2021 49ers stack up to the 2019 team? Lately I have listened to some podcasts and read some tweets comparing the current San Francisco 49ers team (2021) to the 2019 team that fell just short of winning the Super Bowl. I find the comparison interesting. And since many people quickly assume the 2021 49ers are not as good as the 2019 team, I wanted to take a look for myself. So as we prepare for the team to report on Tuesday, let's compare the two teams, position by position. For the purpose of this very scientific experiment, we will assume everyone is healthy (even though that never happens). Let's start on offense. The defensive comparison is coming soon. Some have said this year's team will be better than the 2019 team, while others have suggested that won't be the case. In our very scientific investigation, we determined the 2021 offense will be better than the 2019 offense. Today, we will take a look at the defenses. Mohamed Sanu confident in 49ers quarterbacks, says Trey Lance has 'it factor'

The 21-year-old Trey Lance continues to earn praise from his teammates. The San Francisco 49ers rookie quarterback is preparing to enter his first NFL training camp and hopes to show off how his hard work in the past month has led to improvement. During the players' time off, several videos surfaced of Lance taking part in throwing sessions, taking what he learned from the offseason program to sharpen his skills. One of the players Lance threw to last month is teammate Mohamed Sanu. The two also worked out together in Southern California. The wide receiver hopes to make his
