49ers front office on their way to Miami

Feb 27, 2014 at 4:25 PM--

The 49ers front office jumps on a private charter to Miami and speculation around the web starts to go wild. Turron Davenport of Niner Talk Central posted the following on Twitter earlier:

Apparently, the flight has Jed and John York, Trent Baalke, Paraag Marathe, and legal/executive assistant Micheline Capaci.

In response, Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee humorously tweeted the following:

Jed York even tweeted the following in response to Davenport, confirming that he was in fact on the flight (It was reported earlier that it was just John York and not Jed York):

It could be that the entire front office is on the way to make some sort of trade. It could be that they are on their way to work on a contract with a 49ers free agent or extend someone's contract. It could be that they are all taking a fun vacation together. You take your coworkers on vacation too, right?

Turron Davenport later stated the following:

He also stated that "it is rare that two execs arrive for days before a meeting."

Why do you think the 49ers front office is headed to Miami?

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch told KNBR this past Monday that the organization appeared close to trading starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo earlier in the offseason, but those talks came to a screeching halt when the decision was made for the 30-year old signal-caller to have surgery on his injured shoulder. Lynch later mentioned that the team continued to have dialogue surrounding Garoppolo during the NFL Draft, but it appeared teams were hoping to secure his services at a discounted price. Lynch also mentioned that teams typically don't rush out to trade for a player following surgery until they know they've made a full recovery. To me, it almost felt like

Late Wednesday night, San Francisco 49ers fans sighed in relief as wide receiver Deebo Samuel reportedly followed the team on Instagram once again, which could be a sign that the relationship is getting back on track. Samuel, who scrubbed his account of everything 49ers related on April 7th, which was around the time of his reported trade request, was not moved during the draft as the 49ers stayed firm with their decision despite fielding multiple offers for the star receiver. Now, almost a month later, Samuel has re-followed the team, once again utilizing his power of social media to express his

Around the NFL writer Dan Hanzus provided his updated power rankings after the 2022 NFL Draft. The San Francisco 49ers remained at the No.5 spot, with no movement post draft. Hanzus offered no comments on the 49ers draft selections but he did comment on the availability of All-Pro Deebo Samuel. Hanzus writes: "Meanwhile, the Niners don't seem at all eager to move superstar wide receiver Deebo Samuel, trade demand be damned. Kyle Shanahan said on Friday the 49ers have yet to receive an offer that was

The San Francisco 49ers' first selection of the 2022 NFL Draft didn't come until day two on Friday. Thanks to last year's trade package to move up to select quarterback Trey Lance, the team lacked a first-round pick. When the Niners' first selection came around, at No. 61 overall, the team again opted to bolster its defensive line, selecting former USC defensive end Drake Jackson. San Francisco has now used its first selection on a defensive lineman in six of the past eight drafts. The 49ers have focused a lot on keeping its defensive line well-stocked with talent, believing that making the pass rush a top priority will help every other position on defense. San Francisco added veteran pass rusher Dee Ford in 2019, just before drafting Nick Bosa,
