Feb 18, 2014 at 1:17 PM--

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton co-hosted the Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards, which aired on Monday, February 17.

Some highlights include jokes and gags for the children filled audience, a pretty terrible rendition of Katy Perry's "Roar," and them being forced to introduce the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks.

"I also think we can agree on, that we both, really don't like those guys," said Cam Newton as both pointed at the Seattle Seahawks team members that were there.

It looks like ESPN's beat writers for the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots are betting on the latter to win on Sunday. Both Mike Reiss and Nick Wagoner picked the Patriots to end their losing streak, and for Kyle Shanahan's squad to fall under .500 again. Wagoner, the NFL Nation writer for the 49ers, expects a big game on the ground from Patriots quarterback Cam Newton, who is going against a San Francisco defense that has struggled this season to contain athletic quarterbacks. "New England quarterback Cam Newton will rush for 90-plus yards," predicts Wagoner. "Believe it or not, Newton

Head coach Kyle Shanahan knows that his defense will need to play disciplined football against the athletic quarterback if the 49ers hope to escape Foxborough with a victory. The 49ers had trouble stopping athletic quarterback Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in the season opener. While Newton isn't the same type of athlete, his size makes him tough to bring down and, therefore, very dangerous. "It's a huge challenge," Shanahan told NBC Sports Bay Area this week. "Cam still can run. He's still fast. Not fast like Kyler, but it's a little bit different style of running and the way they use him. It's extremely effective in the red zone
