L. Allen sits out practice Saturday

Chrissy Mauck, of SF49ers.com, reports San Francisco 49ers OG Larry Allen was held out of practice Saturday, Aug. 5. Head coach Mike Nolan wanted to get a look at some of the team's other guards.

The San Francisco 49ers entered the Wild Card matchup against the Dallas Cowboys without linebacker Marcell Harris (Achilles), safety Talanoa Hufanga (knee), and defensive lineman Maurice Hurst (calf). All three were among the team's seven inactive players. Below are the 49ers-Cowboys in-game injury updates. DE Jordan Willis Willis left the field slowly close to the end of the first half. The 49ers announced him as "questionable" to return due to an ankle injury. Update: Willis returned to the game. DE Nick Bosa Bosa remained down the field near the end of the first half

49ers-Cowboys Injury Report: Azeez Al-Shaair among 4 Niners listed as 'questionable' for Sunday

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Wild Card playoff contest against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters after practice and named just four players on his game-status report—three defenders and punter Mitch Wishnowsky. Wishnowsky spent the week in the concussion protocol and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair has been inactive the last two games due to a knee injury. The others are linebacker Marcell Harris and rookie safety Talanoa Hufanga. Tackle Trent Williams, who is dealing with an elbow injury, was not named and looks set to play on Sunday. There weren't any setbacks for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (thumb) either. Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers



Nick Bosa details his injury recovery ahead of 49ers-Cowboys: "I'm coming around really well"

In the midst of a decorated season in which defensive end Nick Bosa collected 21 TFL, 15.5 sacks, and forced 4 fumbles, it's hard to believe that the star was out with a torn ACL just one year ago. The injury came Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season in a matchup against the New York Jets. Bosa told NFL Network that he immediately knew he'd suffered a serious injury after the tear happened, "I knew for sure. I think you want to fake your mind into thinking that you're okay and try and take those steps but I knew exactly what happened and that it was going to be a long road."
