49ers sign safety Chad Williams

While drawing out the battle plan for the NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers quietly signed a safety according to Matt Maiocco of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. The 49ers have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with free agent Chad Williams of the Ravens.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Analytics site Pro Football Focus released its grades from Sunday's Week 1 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals. The road-team Cardinals defeated the defending NFC champions 24-20. It may be too early for fans to point out any bright spots from the loss at Levi's Stadium, but Pro Football Focus had no problem doing so.
