According to KFFL, San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan believes recently acquired cornerback Sammy Davis should compete immediately for a starting position.
"This was an opportunity for us to strengthen ourselves at a position of need with a proven NFL starter," said Nolan on the trade. "Davis will be able to step in from day one and challenge for a starting role."
