49ers won't play on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day in 2024

The San Francisco 49ers escaped having to play a game on Christmas Day for the second consecutive season. According to Jordan Schultz, the two matchups on December 25 will showcase the Kansas City Chiefs against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens against the Houston Texans. The San Francisco 49ers kicked off organized team activities (OTAs) this week, and star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was the most noticeable absentee. However, his absence wasn't unexpected. Aiyuk and the 49ers reportedly remain far apart in their contract extension negotiations, and this portion of the offseason remains voluntary. On Dec. 25, 2024, Netflix will be the global home of the NFL's two Christmas Day marquee games.
