Levi's Stadium will not host fans for 49ers-Eagles, will serve as a voting center for November election

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, but Levi's Stadium will not host fans for Sunday's game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN. The stadium didn't host fans for the team's season opener against the Arizona Cardinals on September 13 due to continued concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. That didn't rule out fans attending future games, though. The 49ers will continue to have a dialogue with state and Santa Clara County officials, and in accordance with public health guidelines, to determine when fans can return to Levi's

Maybe that wasn't enough because the team gained some extra motivation the hard way on Sunday after the Arizona Cardinals pulled off the upset 24-20 win at Levi's Stadium. On Monday, Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker shared a message he received from an alleged San Francisco 49ers fan, who spewed offensive and racist remarks following Sunday's game between the two teams at Levi's Stadium. The user's icon in the screenshot shared by Baker featured retired tackle Joe Staley's jersey number, making it safe to assume that the individual is a fan of the Bay Area team.
