The San Francisco 49ers announced they have re-signed wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown to a one-year deal. To make room on the roster, the team released wide receiver Andy Isabella, who suffered an ankle injury during Monday's practice.
The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.
St. Brown (6-5, 214) was originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round (207th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. Throughout his six-year NFL career with the Packers (2018-21), Chicago Bears (2022-23) and New Orleans Saints (2024), he has appeared in 62 games (28 starts) and registered 63 receptions for 928 yards (14.7 average) and two touchdowns. He has also appeared in three postseason contests (one start) with the Packers and recorded two receptions for 37 yards (18.5 average). In 2024, St. Brown spent time on the Saints practice squad and appeared in two games. He then signed with San Francisco on July 22, 2025 and was released by the team on July 31.
A 28-year-old native of Placentia, CA, St. Brown attended the University of Notre Dame for three seasons (2015-17) where he appeared in 32 games (25 starts) and registered 92 receptions for 1,484 yards (16.1 average) and 13 touchdowns.
Isabella (5-9, 188) originally signed to the team on July 31, 2025.
