New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore continues to assemble his staff. Today, he is set to interview two candidates for the team's defensive coordinator position. One spent last season on San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan's staff.
According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the Saints are interviewing 49ers assistant head coach Brandon Staley and Philadelphia Eagles defensive backs coach Christian Parker for the vacancy.
The Saints are interviewing 49ers assistant HC Brandon Staley and Eagles DBs coach Christian Parker for their defensive coordinator job today, per source. They met with Vikings DBs coach Daronte Jones yesterday.
This, obviously, will be a big hire for Kellen Moore's 1st staff.

Staley joined Shanahan's staff last year after missing out on the 49ers' defensive coordinator position, which ultimately went to Nick Sorensen. He was again a candidate for the position this year after Sorensen was relieved of his duties, but he was passed over in favor of Robert Saleh.
Staley began his NFL coaching career as a linebackers coach with the Chicago Bears in 2017 before taking on the same role with the Denver Broncos in 2019. He became the Los Angeles Rams' defensive coordinator in 2020, which led to his hiring as the Los Angeles Chargers' head coach in 2021. He held this position for three seasons before joining the 49ers.
Staley was not expected to remain with the 49ers in 2025.
