Bryant Johnson likely gone?

According to Pro Football Weekly on Saturday, San Francisco wide receiver Bryant Johnson may be the odd man out for the 49ers. The site had this to say:

Our Niners sources tell us that, due to the presence of promising, young WRs Josh Morgan, Jason Hill and Dominique Zeigler, free agent Bryant Johnson's days could be numbered in San Francisco. "And don't forget Arnaz Battle (who ended the season on injured reserve)," added a team insider. "Every year it seems they try to count him out, and every year he keeps coming back for more."

49ers QB Trey Lance expected to require surgery, likely ending his season, per report

Trey Lance went down late in the first quarter of the San Francisco 49ers' 27-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks. It was an injury so concerning that the second-year quarterback couldn't make it off the field on his own. He tried to get up, but pressure on his right leg, and immediately went back down to the turf. There was a great deal of concern from his teammates for Lance as he was carted off the field and into the locker room for further tests. The 49ers later announced that Lance was ruled out due to an ankle injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Lance's season may be over. The quarterback is expected to require surgery, likely ending his season. So it will probably be Jimmy Garoppolo's job moving



49ers-Broncos Injury Updates: Trent Williams, Azeez Al-Shaair likely to miss time

The San Francisco 49ers are playing the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. The Niners entered the matchup without defensive lineman Arik Armstead (foot), offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill (hamstring), running back Tyrion Davis-Price (ankle), and tight end Tyler Kroft (knee). All four were among the six inactive players for the 49ers. Below are the 49ers-Broncos in-game injury updates. LB Azeez Al-Shaair (knee, out) Azeez Al-Shaair left the game with just over four minutes left in the first half. The 49ers announced that he suffered a knee injury and is questionable to return.
