The San Francisco 49ers will celebrate one of their greatest defensive players, Patrick Willis, by presenting him with his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring during a special ceremony in Week 5. The ceremony will occur on October 6, when the 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals at Levi's Stadium.
Patrick Willis will receive his Hall of Fame ring at a ceremony during the #49ers game vs. the Cardinals on Oct. 6 at Levi's Stadium.
Willis, who was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 3, 2024, in Canton, Ohio, as part of the Class of 2024, had an illustrious eight-season career with the 49ers after being drafted 11th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.
Widely regarded as one of the league's premier defensive players, Willis quickly made his mark on the NFL. Over his career, he recorded 950 tackles, 60 tackles for loss, 41 quarterback hits, 20.5 sacks, eight interceptions, two touchdowns, 53 passes defensed, and 16 forced fumbles.
Remarkably, Willis surpassed 100 tackles in six of his eight seasons, leading the league in tackles twice—once as a rookie in 2007 and again in 2009. The linebacker earned seven Pro Bowl selections and five first-team All-Pro honors, solidifying his legacy as one of the best linebackers in NFL history.
The upcoming ring ceremony will allow the 49ers organization and fans to pay tribute to Willis' extraordinary career.
