The San Francisco 49ers open the 2024 preseason at Nissan Stadium against the Tennessee Titans. This matchup marks just the second preseason meeting between the two teams and the first since the 1977 season. The Titans lead the all-time preseason series, 1-0.

San Francisco returns multiple key contributors from last year's team that reached Super Bowl LVIII, including AP First-Team All-Pros FB Kyle Juszczyk, TE George Kittle, RB Christian McCaffrey, and LB Fred Warner, as well as Pro Bowl selections DL Nick Bosa, QB Brock Purdy, and CB Charvarius Ward. The Niners aim to remain a top-10 defense with the new additions of DL Maliek Collins, DL Leonard Floyd, and CB Isaac Yiadom, while WR Deebo Samuel looks to lead the 49ers' offense to another successful season. Through the 2024 NFL Draft, the Niners brought in WR Ricky Pearsall, CB Renardo Green, OL Dominick Puni, S Malik Mustapha, RB Isaac Guerendo, WR Jacob Cowing, OL Jarrett Kingston, and LB Tatum Bethune.

The 49ers Communications staff provided the above breakdown.
