49erswebzone.com received its 40 millionth visit on Friday, December 19th. I want to take a moment to thank all of the visitors who stop here on a regular basis and have helped to make this site what it is today. Most of our publicity has been from word of mouth, so we are glad that you feel that this site is worth the effort of telling your friends and family.
The community on this site is beyond anything I ever could have imagined. It is one of the most dedicated web communities I have ever seen.
I also want to thank the staff of writers and moderators who volunteer their free time to contribute to this site. Without them, this site would be nothing.
We hope to be around for a very long time and running this site, while stressful at times, is still a joy.

The San Francisco 49ers made it five in a row over the Seattle Seahawks with a 28-16 win over their NFC West rivals at Levi's Stadium on Sunday, and after the game there was plenty to talk about.
We've already discussed the skirmish between 49ers linebacker Fred Warner and Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf, as well as Brock Purdy's big day numbers-wise and the team's newfound frontrunner position for home field advantage in the NFC playoffs. 49ers' Christian McCaffrey: Surpassing 1,000 rushing yards a 'team effort'
Christian McCaffrey achieved a milestone no other San Francisco 49ers player has reached since Frank Gore in 2014. The running back surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark.
Surprisingly, this marks only McCaffrey's fourth time hitting that milestone in his career, last achieving it last season during his time with the Carolina Panthers and now with the 49ers. He also surpassed the mark in 2018 and 2019.
Speaking to Bay Area radio station KNBR after the 49ers' dominant 42-19 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, McCaffrey shared what it means to surpass the 1,000-yard mark again, crediting it as
Brandon Aiyuk becomes first 49ers WR with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons since 2014
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk entered Week 14's contest against the Seattle Seahawks with 927 receiving yards on the season. He needed just 73 more to achieve something that no 49ers wideout has accomplished since 2014—recording back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
Aiyuk secured the required yardage in the third quarter.

49ers vs. Seahawks: Brock Purdy gears up for familiar foe, acknowledges room for growth
Brock Purdy is gearing up to lead his San Francisco 49ers against the Seattle Seahawks for the second time in three games. This time, the Niners will play host, with Sunday's NFC West clash taking place at Levi's Stadium.
Purdy has faced Seattle more than any other opponent in his NFL career, creating a familiarity with the division rival. Despite never losing to the Seahawks, the second-year quarterback emphasizes that he won't take any opponent for granted.
"They got good players, some really good dudes that have a lot of experience and stuff, obviously with [LB] Bobby Wagner and then [DB Quandre] Diggs in the secondary, some boys that are playing corner that have got some experience now under their belts," Purdy told reporters after Thursday's
