San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be wearing No. 1 the next time he steps onto the football field, leaving behind his No. 19 jersey. It's an unfortunate change for any fan who previously invested in a Deebo jersey—unless they consider it a throwback.

Newly signed wide receiver Trent Taylor quickly claimed No. 19 after rejoining the team on a one-year deal following three seasons elsewhere. Taylor last wore No. 15 with the 49ers, a number currently worn by wide receiver Jauan Jennings. Taylor also wore No. 81 with the team.

The 49ers' official team site has listed the jersey numbers for several of the team's free-agent newcomers (and Maliek Collins, acquired via a trade) below. Of course, these could change as the offseason progresses, so don't rush out to get your brand new Leonard Floyd jersey just yet.

The new jersey numbers are listed below:

49ers Throwback: Montana Magic and Terrifying Taylor

By Sasha D. Robinson
May 10

On their way to a back-to-back and fourth Super Bowl championship, the San Francisco 49ers had a remarkable Monday Night comeback against division rival Los Angeles Rams. The Rams had beaten the Niners 13-12 earlier in Week 4 when kicker Mike Lansford made a game-winning field goal. After that divisional loss, the 49ers won eight of their last nine games, including a 34-24 victory over the New York Giants, who won the NFC East with a 12-4 record and earned the second-best record in the NFC. On a cool 56-degree night on December 11, 1989, the 9-4 Rams had a chance to close within one game of the division-leading 11-2 49ers. The Rams took the opening kick and an early 7-0 lead over the 49ers with a Greg Bell three-yard touchdown run. After forcing the 49ers to

Is this the best wide receiver group Kyle Shanahan has had with the 49ers?

By Marc Adams
May 11

If you want wide receivers, the San Francisco 49ers have you covered. In addition to bringing back their top three receivers from 2023, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, and Jauan Jennings, the 49ers are also bringing back Chris Conley, Danny Gray, Ronnie Bell, Trent Taylor, and others. And if that wasn't enough, they drafted Ricky Pearsall (Florida) and Jacob Cowing (Arizona) and signed undrafted rookie free agent, Terique Owens (Missouri State). That's a solid receiving corp, led by two Pro Bowlers and a guy with a knack for picking up first downs. But where does this group rank among those Kyle Shanahan has had in San Francisco? We can't compare this group to those from the 1980s and 1990s. That would be unfair. Any wide receiver group with Jerry Rice, the greatest

Why 49ers' Trent Williams sees last season as a success despite Super Bowl loss

By David Bonilla
May 9

San Francisco 49ers tackle Trent Williams has had ample time to reflect on the Super Bowl 58 defeat in Las Vegas. Looking back on his 2023 campaign, he refuses to label the season a failure, instead focusing on the positives of his team's valiant effort. "That's the biggest loss you can take, but at the end of the day, you look at it for what it is," Williams said on "The Shop" podcast, according to Tristi Rodriguez of NBC Sports Bay Area. "I'm a realist. There were two teams left out of 32 teams. Two teams fighting for that one trophy. Yeah, it sucks, but you got to look back and say, at the end of the day, it was a successful season. I used to think,
