The 2024 Pro Bowl Games rosters have been announced, and the San Francisco 49ers will be represented for the seventh consecutive year. The nine 49ers players below have been selected for the NFC roster.

The consensus votes of fans, players, and coaches determine roster selections. Each group's vote counts one-third toward determining the 88 Pro Bowl players.

The 2024 Pro Bowl Games will be a week-long celebration of AFC vs. NFC competitions, culminating in a flag football game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday, February 4. It will be televised on ESPN and ABC, with the Sunday events being simulcast by ABC and Disney XD and streamed on ESPN+.

The 49ers' nine selections mark the most in the NFL and the most the team has had since nine players were selected to the 2013 Pro Bowl.

With 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and Miami Dolphins quarterback being designated starters for their respective conferences, this year marks the first time that both starting quarterbacks on the initial Pro Bowl roster were first-time selections since the 2000 Pro Bowl following the 1999 season (Peyton Manning and Kurt Warner).

Nick Bosa, DE (starter)

This marks Nick Bosa's fourth Pro Bowl selection (2019, 2021-23) in his five NFL seasons. The pass rusher has recorded 52 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 35 quarterback hits, 10.5 sacks, four passes defensed, and two forced fumbles through 16 starts this season.

Javon Hargrave, DT

This is the defensive tackle's second Pro Bowl selection (2021, 2023) and the first as a member of the 49ers. Javon Hargrave has registered 44 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 14 quarterback hits, seven sacks, and a pass defensed through 15 starts this season.

Kyle Juszczyk, FB (starter)

Still considered among the top fullbacks in the NFL, Kyle Juszczyk has carried the football five times for 119 yards and two rushing touchdowns through 16 game appearances this season. This is Juszczyk's eighth consecutive Pro Bowl selection (since 2017) and seventh straight with the 49ers. No fullback in NFL history has more Pro Bowl selections than Juszczyk.

George Kittle, TE (starter)

This is the tight end's fifth Pro Bowl selection (2018-19, 2021-23) and the third consecutive season earning the honor. George Kittle has registered 65 receptions for 1,020 yards and six touchdowns through 16 starts this season. He surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in a single season for the third time in his career.

Christian McCaffrey, RB (starter)

This is the running back's third Pro Bowl selection (2019, 2022-23) and the second with the 49ers. Christian McCaffrey has carried the football 272 times for 1,459 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns while adding 67 receptions for 564 yards with seven receiving touchdowns through 16 starts this season. He surpassed 2,000 scrimmage yards in a single season for the second time in his career.

Brock Purdy, QB (starter)

This is the second-year quarterback's first Pro Bowl selection. Brock Purdy has completed 69.4 percent of his pass attempts for 4,280 yards with 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while adding 144 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on 39 carries through 16 starts this season. He set a new franchise record for the most passing yards in a single season. Purdy becomes the first 49ers quarterback to earn a Pro Bowl selection since Jeff Garcia did so after the 2002 season.

Charvarius Ward, CB (starter)

This is the Charvarius Ward's first Pro Bowl selection. The cornerback has registered 68 tackles, two tackles for a loss, 23 passes defensed, a team-leading five interceptions, a touchdown, and a forced fumble through 16 starts this season.

Fred Warner, LB (starter)

This is Fred Warner's third Pro Bowl selection (2020, 2022-23). The linebacker has registered 132 tackles, six tackles for a loss, five quarterback hits, 2.5 sacks, 11 passes defensed, four interceptions, and four forced fumbles through 16 starts this season.

Trent Williams, T (starter)

This is Trent Williams' 11th Pro Bowl selection (2012-18, 2020-23) and the fourth with the 49ers. He has started 14 games this season, and his 90.1 overall grade from Pro Football Focus ranks second among offensive tackles. Williams' 11 Pro Bowl selections are the most among players chosen for the initial roster. He became the eighth offensive lineman ever with at least 11 career Pro Bowl selections.

Alternates

In addition, 12 49ers players were selected as alternates. They are wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, defensive tackle Arik Armstead, guard Aaron Banks, center Jake Brendel, linebacker Oren Burks, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, tackle Colton McKivitz, long snapper Taybor Pepper, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, punter Mitch Wishnowsky, and defensive end Chase Young.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey reacts to Commanders drafting brother Luke

By David Bonilla
Apr 27

Christian McCaffrey may have hoped for the chance to play alongside his younger brother, Luke McCaffrey, with the San Francisco 49ers. Several mock drafts suggested that the former Rice wide receiver could join the Bay Area team. "I would love to play with him one day," the older McCaffrey said in December. "That would be the coolest thing ever. So I'm excited for him and his journey, and he's only going to get better." However, fate had different plans. Luke did hear his name called on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft, but not by the 49ers. Instead, the Washington Commanders selected him. Their draft is led by former 49ers assistant general manager Adam Peters.

By David Bonilla
Apr 25

New San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was a teammate of Brandon Aiyuk for one season (2019) at Arizona State. It was Aiyuk's final season with the Sun Devils and Pearsall's first, before transferring to Florida after the 2021 season. Now, the two are teammates again after the 49ers selected Pearsall with the No. 31 overall pick. Speaking to reporters after the first round, general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that they received a text from Aiyuk after the pick was made. "Fire pick. Can't lie," Aiyuk said in the text, much to Lynch and Shanahan's delight. Shortly after hearing his name called, Pearsall spoke to reporters via Zoom and was asked about his relationship with Aiyuk. Why one analyst is worried for Brock Purdy if 49ers trade Brandon Aiyuk

By David Bonilla
Apr 18

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy achieved a remarkable feat in 2023, setting a single-season franchise record with 4,280 passing yards. This accomplishment is noteworthy, considering the illustrious quarterbacks who have graced the organization's history. A significant portion of those yards came from wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who amassed a career-high and team-leading 1,342 receiving yards. Most of his 75 catches originated from passes thrown by Purdy. Amidst significant offseason chatter surrounding the 49ers' star receiver, including several unsubstantiated trade rumors, Aiyuk's future remains uncertain. Former NFL player James Jones, now an analyst, expressed concern for Purdy should Aiyuk's tenure in the Bay Area come to an end. "I
