San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has no shortage of playmakers at his disposal, effectively utilizing his offensive star power to secure the NFC's No. 1 seed and home-field advantage in the playoffs. Several players achieved notable milestones this season.

During Sunday's clash with the Washington Commanders, tight end George Kittle surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in a single season for the third time in his career, while running back Christian McCaffrey exceeded 2,000 scrimmage yards for the second time in his career.

Second-year quarterback Brock Purdy broke the record for the most single-season passing yards in franchise history, which has stood for 23 years.

On Sunday, the 49ers made NFL history as the first team to have a running back, two wide receivers, and a tight end each amass 1,000 or more scrimmage yards in a single season. McCaffrey boasts 2,023 scrimmage yards, with wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel accumulating 1,317 and 1,085 scrimmage yards, respectively, and Kittle reaching 1,022.

When asked about the remarkable accomplishment, Samuel credited the impressive play of the 49ers' offensive line.

"Because the way they protect, the way they block, the way they block in the run game, the way they block in the pass game, it starts and it's going to end with them," Samuel said. "And then, on our end, just being receivers and running backs and quarterbacks, we just got to go out there and be at the top of our game and just make plays whenever they come our way."

The 49ers have multiple players with 1,000 or more receiving yards in the same season for the fourth time in franchise history, marking the first occurrence since receivers Jerry Rice (1,157) and Terrell Owens (1,097) achieved the feat in 1998.

Additionally, San Francisco became the fourth team in NFL history to have a quarterback surpass the 4,000-yard mark and four players with 1,000 or more scrimmage yards. Only the 1995 Atlanta Falcons, 2004 Indianapolis Colts, and 1990 Houston Oilers had previously accomplished the feat. This year's 49ers squad could become the first team in NFL history to achieve this and win a Super Bowl.
