49ers OL Jon Feliciano says Eagles DT Jalen Carter threatened him and his children with death during game

By Kirk Larrabee
Feb 13

The bad blood between the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers seems to be getting worse. It certainly isn't getting any less bizarre. The latest chapter of back-and-forth between these two teams occurred Tuesday evening in an exchange between 49ers offensive lineman Jon Feliciano and Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter. Feliciano made headlines earlier in the week by publicly pointing out a mistake made by guard Spencer Burford during a pivotal overtime play against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII, to which Carter responded by writing "Same dude who spoke on my dead teammate and the reason I was emotional during our game." Carter was referring to former University of Georgia player Devin Willock, who died along with team recruiting analyst Chandler LeCroy

Fred Warner confident Super Bowl win is in 49ers' future

By David Bonilla
Feb 13

Disappointment pervaded the San Francisco 49ers locker room on Tuesday, less than 48 hours after the team's gut-wrenching Super Bowl defeat. Many players struggled to discuss the game with reporters. An emotional Brandon Aiyuk even had to end his conversation early, with the wide receiver no longer able to respond to questions. Linebacker Fred Warner, typically smiling for the media, understandably appeared deflated as he tried his best to field questions. "I'm just disappointed because we had more than enough opportunities to go and take it," Warner said. "Like we talked about, Super Bowls aren't given. You've got to take them in the moments where they're there, and we

49ers' Kyle Shanahan calls claim he can't win a big game 'extremely inaccurate'

By David Bonilla
Feb 14

Kyle Shanahan has faced disappointment in three Super Bowls—twice as the San Francisco 49ers' head coach and once as the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons. He lost all three appearances in dramatic fashion. The first two games saw the coach's teams suffer significant late-game collapses. Sunday's showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs was lost in overtime, despite Shanahan's 49ers seeming in control for much of the contest. It was the coach's second time losing a Super Bowl to the Chiefs. Obviously, three losses in the big game will raise questions about one's ability to get a team over the hump. This is the narrative Shanahan will confront this offseason and beyond, until he guides the 49ers to a championship victory. "I mean, you'd

49ers Notebook: Nick Bosa lobbies for 49ers to keep Chase Young; Kyle Juszczyk addresses his future; Has anyone on the team watched the Super Bowl yet?

By Kirk Larrabee
Feb 13

The offseason is underway for the San Francisco 49ers, which means the team's decision makers will soon have to determine which free agents they would like to try to keep and which ones they'll have to let go. One of the more interesting cases is defensive end Chase Young, whom the 49ers added during the regular season from the Washington Commanders in exchange for a third-round draft pick. It may be hard for the 49ers to prevent Young from being more than a rent-a-player, but Young's friend and former Ohio State University teammate Nick Bosa made it clear Tuesday he'd like to see general manager John Lynch and the 49ers brass find a way to keep Young on the team. In this edition of the 49ers Notebook, we delve into a range of topics starting with Bosa's
