After securing a 27-14 home victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed reporters, offering an injury update on one key player.

All-Pro safety Talanoa Hufanga was carted to the locker room in the third quarter and ruled out with a knee injury. Rookie Ji'Ayir Brown replaced Hufanga.

The 49ers are concerned about Hufanga, with the team fearing an ACL injury, per Shanahan. However, the team must wait until Monday, when the safety will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

"We don't know for sure, but most likely it's [an] ACL," Shanahan said. "But we can't confirm it, so we'll find out later."

Hufanga was seen leaving the locker room on crutches and wearing a knee brace.

"My heart goes out to Huf," linebacker Fred Warner said after the game. "Not exactly sure what's going on there, but obviously they're fearing the worst for him right now. And obviously, my heart and prayers go out to Huf. Man, that's sickening news."

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers are getting very thin when it comes to safety depth. On Sunday, they lost starter Talanoa Hufanga for the season due to a torn ACL. On Thursday, the team faced further adversity after safety and special-teams ace George Odum exited the game against the Seattle Seahawks. Odum was injured in the second quarter during a special teams play that saw Seahawks running back DeeJay Dallas mishandle a kickoff catch. Several players scrambled for the loose football, and the 49ers safety got hurt on the play. Later, the 49ers ruled Odum out for the remainder of the game due to a biceps injury. In his post-game press conference, head coach Kyle Shanahan

Speaking of those fans, we opened up the 49ers Webzone Mailbag to grab your questions. So let's jump in and see what questions we can answer: Which positional battle on Thursday are you more concerned about: 49ers WRs vs Seattle DBs, or 49ers DBs vs Seattle WRs? - Scott

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 12 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. Guard Aaron Banks is working his way back from a turf toe injury sustained on October 30 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Jon Feliciano has been playing in his place. The 49ers' other starting guard, Spencer Burford, has been dealing with a knee injury and did not practice this week. Both Banks and Burford are listed as "questionable."
