This week, the San Francisco 49ers are set to return to the field as they head to TIAA Bank Field to face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This game will be the seventh all-time meeting between the two teams and the first since 2021 when the 49ers secured a 30-10 victory in Jacksonville. With a 4-2 lead in the all-time series against the Jaguars, San Francisco aims for their fifth consecutive win against this opponent.

Previous game

Before the team's Bye, the 49ers suffered their third loss of the season to the Cincinnati Bengals. Offensively, San Francisco was led by RB Christian McCaffrey, who tallied 118 yards from scrimmage, including a two-yard rushing touchdown and a four-yard receiving touchdown. QB Brock Purdy completed 22 of his 31 passing attempts for a career-high 365 yards and led the team in rushing with a career-high 57 yards. TE George Kittle led all pass catchers with 149 yards on nine receptions, while WR Brandon Aiyuk hauled in five catches for 109 yards.

The defense was led by DL Arik Armstead, who tallied four tackles and 2.0 sacks of Bengals QB Joe Burrow, while DL Nick Bosa and DL Clelin Ferrell shared a sack of Burrow. Ferrell also added a forced fumble, which was recovered by CB Isaiah Oliver, who tallied nine tackles on the day. S Talanoa Hufanga and LB Fred Warner each added a team-high 10 tackles.
