The San Francisco 49ers dominated the Arizona Cardinals 35-16 to improve to 4-0 on the season, backed by a strong offensive effort from quarterback Brock Purdy, who threw just one incompletion, and running back Christian McCaffrey, who had four touchdowns on the day.

In the effort, the 49ers were able to break yet another franchise record, as the team scored at least 30 points for the fourth consecutive game, marking the first time in franchise history that they've reached the mark in each of their first four games.

In their history, San Francisco has fielded some elite offensive attacks, highlighted by quarterbacks Joe Montana and Steve Young, but the Brock Purdy-led 49ers are the first to accomplish the impressive feat.

The franchise record only highlights how impressive the 49ers offense has been to start the season, which was only furthered on Sunday, where San Francisco put up a season-high 35 points, scoring touchdowns on five of their six offensive drives.

Looking across the board, San Francisco has seen efficient quarterback play from Brock Purdy, who has yet to throw an interception through four games, while Christian McCaffrey has arguably been the most valuable player in the NFL with another strong game overall.

The 49ers' scoring record through four games wasn't the only record broken on the day, as wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk also had a career-high 148 receiving yards on the day, continuing a strong 2023 campaign for the former first-round pick.

Christian McCaffrey breaks two 49ers touchdown records

By JD Salazar

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey scored two rushing touchdowns in yesterday's 31-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Those scores give him 11 rushing touchdowns on the year, to go along with 5 receiving touchdowns. While McCaffrey's oft-publicized touchdown streak may have been snapped at 17 against Jacksonville, his touchdown totals have made him the uncontested leader in two important San Francisco franchise records. First, McCaffrey's 11 rushing touchdowns in 2023 have set a new 49ers franchise record for most rushing touchdowns by a player in one season. He breaks a logjam at what was once the top of the record books—five 49ers players had rushed for 10 scores in a season, including Frank Gore (2009), Derek Loville (1995), Ricky

George Kittle says Brock Purdy lifts 49ers offense; Eager for Eagles game

By David Bonilla
Nov 28

Tight end George Kittle values the presence of Brock Purdy in the San Francisco 49ers' huddle. The quarterback has played efficiently, contributing to the team's three consecutive wins following a costly October slump. Purdy is on track to become the first 49ers quarterback to surpass 4,000 passing yards since Jeff Garcia did so in 2000. In fact, his projected 4,437 yards would set a franchise record. "I think I can speak for everybody on our offense, we're continually impressed with the things that Brock does all the time," Kittle told Jim Rome on Tuesday. "His consistency every single day, the relationship that he's built with all of our skilled players, all the guys that he gets the ball to, it's pretty amazing. And we all feel that [comfort] with

It took nine years, but the San Francisco 49ers finally got some payback on Thursday night for the Seattle Seahawks feasting on turkey after a win at Levi's Stadium in 2014. The Seahawks' 19-3 win over the 49ers on Thanksgiving in 2014 was the last time either team played on Thanksgiving before Thursday night, and after that game then-Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and cornerback Richard Sherman dug into the postgame turkey at the 50-yard line of Levi's Stadium at a time when the rivalry between the two teams was at a peak. The 49ers flipped the script on Thursday, notching a 31-13 win over the Seahawks at Lumen Field in Seattle that was followed by a slew of 49ers getting their fill of Thanksgiving turkey, courtesy of NBC.
