Running back Elijah Mitchell did not play in the San Francisco 49ers' preseason finale against the Los Angeles Chargers.

"Elijah, his abductor has been tight," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters via a conference call on Saturday. "No pulls or anything, but it was tight, so we didn't want to push him, especially with his history."

According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, Mitchell was on the practice field on Monday. As was safety George Odum, who has been recovering from a left SC joint sprain.

The following players were among those who did not participate in Monday's practice, per Barrows.

Hufanga has a fluid-filled cyst behind his knee, causing some tightness. He did not play against the Chargers.

"He's been resting these four days, and he should be good to go real soon," Shanahan said of the safety on Saturday.

With the 49ers' two kickers ailing and their Week 1 availability in danger, the team worked out two kickers—Tristan Vizcaino and Taylor Russolino. Vizcaino played one game with the 49ers in 2020, and Russolino last kicked for the Arlington Renegades of the XFL.
