According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the San Francisco 49ers are re-signing veteran defensive end Kerry Hyder, an unrestricted free agent.

The New York Jets signed Hyder (6-2, 275) as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech in 2014. He registered 19 tackles, a tackle for a loss, a sack, four quarterback hits, and three passes defensed through 16 game appearances (one start) with the 49ers last season, per Pro Football Reference.
Hyder, 31, has recorded 160 tackles, 21 sacks, and four passes defensed in 87 game appearances (24 starts) through his eight NFL seasons with the Detroit Lions, 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks.
The 2022 season started Hyder's second stint with San Francisco. The defensive tackle spent one season (2021) with the Seahawks between his two seasons with the 49ers (2020, 2022).
