According to NFL Media's Mike Garafolo, the San Francisco 49ers are signing former Carolina Panthers safety Myles Hartsfield. He reunites with 49ers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, the Panthers' former interim head coach.
The #49ers have agreed to terms with DB Myles Hartsfield, source says. He wasn't tendered by the #Panthers as a restricted free agent. Carolina had discussed a return but Hartsfield will reunite with new Niners DC Steve Wilks.

Matt Barrows of The Athletic notes that the 49ers gave Hartsfield a one-year deal.
It's a one-year deal between the #49ers and DB Myles Hartsfield, who obviously has a good connection with new DC Steve Wilks from their time together in Carolina. @MikeGarofolo reported it first.
Will have some thoughts on where he fits in a bit.
