49ers-Rams: Two WRs, Jason Verrett among 7 inactives for Niners

The San Francisco 49ers have released the list of inactive players for their Week 8 matchup on the road against the Los Angeles Rams. These players will not suit up for Sunday's game.

Inactives:


On Friday, the 49ers ruled out four starters due to injuries. They are wide receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring), defensive lineman Arik Armstead (foot, ankle), linebacker Dre Greenlaw (calf), and fullback Kyle Juszczyk (finger).

San Francisco listed wide receiver Jauan Jennings (hamstring) and cornerback Jason Verrett (knee) as "questionable." Both are inactive.

On Saturday, the team promoted wide receiver Willie Snead IV from the practice squad to the active roster, waiving offensive lineman Blake Hance to open the roster spot to do so. The 49ers also elevated wide receiver Tay Martin and defensive lineman T.Y. McGill from the practice squad for Sunday's game.

NFL Network to live broadcast two 49ers preseason games in 2023

The NFL announced that two San Francisco 49ers exhibition games would be part of the 23 preseason games to air live on NFL Network in 2023. The first live broadcast will be the team's preseason opener against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, August 13. The second live broadcast will be the 49ers' preseason finale against the Los Angeles Chargers at Levi's Stadium. That game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT on Friday, August 25. It's worth noting that both games are the second part of double-headers. That means non-Bay Area fans may miss the early portions of those games while awaiting the end of the earlier matchups. The 49ers ended their offseason workout program on Wednesday with their final session of mandatory minicamp. But before they made their way out the door for the summer, the team gave fans and reporters one last dose of info in the form of the final media sessions of the spring. Among those speaking to reporters on Wednesday were defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, left tackle Trent Williams and cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, as well as defensive coordinator Steve Wilks. Each session produced some interesting tidbits, which we'll review in this version of 49ers notebook.
