The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 2 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Today's biggest injury-related news is the return of tight end
George Kittle to practice. He had missed the past five practices, including two this week, after suffering a groin strain on September 5. Kittle missed the 49ers' Week 1 matchup against the Chicago Bears. While he is officially listed as "questionable" for Sunday, his return to practice bodes well for his chances of a return.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said there is more optimism regarding Kittle's chances of playing compared to last week. The team will continue to evaluate the situation and his status will be a game-time decision.
"He's healthier seven days later than he was last week when he was questionable [to play in Week 1]," Shanahan said.
Offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill has been ruled out for the second consecutive game. He is attempting to return from a hamstring injury suffered during the preseason.

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 14 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
As expected, Arik Armstead has been ruled out of this weekend's game, having missed practice throughout the week due to knee and foot injuries. Head coach Kyle Shanahan anticipated the unavailability of his defensive lineman against the Seahawks.
Tight end Ross Dwelley has also been ruled out, having suffered a high-ankle sprain that will sideline him for multiple games.
Also missing Friday's practice were guard Spencer Burford, cornerback Darrell Luter, wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, and running back Elijah Mitchell. All except McCloud, who
49ers vs. Eagles Injury Report: Arik Armstead among questionable players for Sunday
The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 13 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Arik Armstead returned to practice after sitting out this week's earlier sessions with a foot injury. While he is listed as "questionable," the defensive tackle insists he will be suited up on Sunday in Philadelphia.
"I'll be out there," Armstead responded this week when asked about his game status.
Running back Jordan Mason and wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud also practiced for the first time this week. Mason has been dealing with a hamstring injury, while McCloud has been sidelined with a rib injury. Both are listed as "questionable" for this weekend.

49ers vs. Seahawks Injury Report: These players didn't practice on Wednesday
The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 14 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
There isn't anything unexpected on Wednesday's practice participation report. Head coach Kyle Shanahan had already informed reporters that defensive tackle Arik Armstead would not practice and is unlikely to play on Sunday due to knee and foot injuries.
"It's not ACL, MCL, nothing I would be able to remember to tell you guys," Shanahan said. "I'd be surprised if he's ready this week. Still haven't ruled him out yet, but it might be a week or two."
Shanahan also gave reporters a heads-up that guard Spencer Burford
