Jaguars announced they have signed former 49ers' DE Arden Key to a one-year deal.
Key visited with the Detroit Lions on March 21, Jaguars on March 22, Baltimore Ravens on March 23, and Kansas City Chiefs on March 25. Meanwhile, San Francisco, seemingly preparing for Key's departure from the team, signed defensive end Kerry Hyder to a one-year, $1.5 million deal.
The then-Oakland Raiders made Key (6-5, 240) a third-round selection out of LSU in 2018. He registered 22 tackles, five tackles for a loss, 17 quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks, and a pass defensed through 17 game appearances with the 49ers last season.
Key, 25, has recorded 71 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 43 quarterback hits, 9.5 sacks, and three passes defensed in 54 game appearances (10 starts) through his four NFL seasons with the Raiders and 49ers.
