According to the NFL transaction wire, the San Francisco 49ers have placed practice squad defensive tackle Darrion Daniels on injured reserve. He suffered an injury on Wednesday.
"He hurt himself dancing during warmups at practice Wednesday," wrote David Lombardi of The Athletic.
The Niners signed defensive end Chris Slayton, 25, to take Daniels' spot on the practice squad. The New York Giants made Slayton (6-4, 307) a seventh-round selection out of Syracuse in 2019. He also spent time with the Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Steelers released Slayton from their practice squad on November 2.
