The San Francisco 49ers announced that the team has waived cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick. The defender was inactive on Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams because of an ankle injury. Both of the 49ers' rookie cornerbacks, Ambry Thomas and Deommodore Lenoir, were active for the game.
Kirkpatrick (6-2, 190) appeared in six games with one start and registered six tackles for the 49ers after signing with the team on September 14, 2021.
