Last Sunday was Nick Bosa's first time back on the field for a regular season game since tearing his ACL in the second week of last season. The San Francisco 49ers star defender finished the game with four tackles (including three tackles for loss), one sack and two quarterback hits in the team's win over the Detroit Lions.
Asked Thursday how he felt about his first game back from injury, Bosa responded, "It was nice just to get back out there, get 50 plays on turf, and feel great. So, I'm ecstatic about that, and just being back with the guys, and knowing that my body's ready for a season. I'm going to fix whatever issues, technically, I had and improve."
That Bosa was able to be on the field for 50 plays is more than what the team could have hope for. That he feels great is excellent news for the 49ers, especially in the days following his 50-play performance.
Bosa was asked if he felt more sore than usual on Monday and Tuesday. Said Bosa, "I was sore, for sure, but it wasn't much different."
And just what are some of the things the second-year player feels he needs to work on?
"Just technically, I have things that I need to get better at. Just getting off the ball and all the things that come with just reps. But physically, I'm there and feeling good."
The 49ers are currently in West Virginia, preparing to play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
