According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the San Francisco 49ers will work out veteran tight end Delanie Walker tomorrow, the same day that the team plans to work out tight end MyCole Pruitt, another former Tennessee Titan. It also happens to be the one day this week that practice is open to the media.
Free agent TE Delanie Walker is flying to Santa Clara for a workout with the #49ers tomorrow, source says. Perhaps another stint with the Niners for Walker, who was with them from 2006-12.
Walker sat out last year but said on the @PatMcAfeeShow in December he would play in '21.

San Francisco made Walker a sixth-round selection out of Central Missouri in 2006. He spent his first seven NFL seasons with the Niners before signing with Tennessee and spending seven seasons there. Walker registered 21 receptions for 215 yards with two touchdowns through seven games with the Titans in 2019 and, as Garafolo mentions, sat out the 2020 season.
There was a report last year that the 49ers had "soft talks" with Walker during the offseason. Nothing came of those discussions.
Walker, 36, has caught 504 passes for 5,888 yards with 36 touchdowns through his 14 NFL seasons. He is a three-time Pro Bowl selection.
San Francisco added Jordan Reed to complement All-Pro tight end George Kittle last season. However, Reed retired in April due to health concerns.
