According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the New York Jets are finalizing a deal to add former San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman. He is the first 49ers free agent to sign with Robert Saleh's squad.
Saleh spent the past four seasons as San Francisco's defensive coordinator before the Jets hired him as the head coach in January.

The Atlanta Falcons made Coleman a third-round selection out of Indiana in 2015. The running back carried the football 28 times for 53 yards with no rushing touchdowns while adding four receptions for 34 yards through eight games with the 49ers in 2020. He missed eight games last season due to a knee injury.
Soleman, 27, joined San Francisco via a two-year deal signed in 2019. He has 2,937 rushing yards on 693 attempts with 24 rushing touchdowns through his six NFL seasons.
