The San Francisco 49ers are re-signing fullback Kyle Juszczyk to a five-year deal worth $27 million, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. News of the move comes after general manager John Lynch hinted last night that the move was imminent.

Adam Caplan of SiriusXM reports that the new deal includes $10 million in guaranteed money.

Juszczyk, 29, initially joined the 49ers on a four-year, $21 million deal in 2017 after beginning his career with the Baltimore Ravens. A product of Harvard University, Juszczyk has 199 career receptions for 1,849 yards and 12 touchdowns, with 19 catches for 202 yards and four touchdowns coming in 16 games with the 49ers in 2020.
Juszczyk has been selected to the Pro Bowl in the last five consecutive seasons. The Ravens made him a fourth-round selection out of Harvard in 2013.
San Francisco was reportedly awaiting clarification on the salary cap before making a stronger push to re-sign Juszczyk. That came this past week when the NFL announced that each team's salary cap limit would be set at $182.5 million. The 49ers entered the weekend with nearly $31 million in salary-cap space, not including the two-year, $10.1 million deal agreed upon to bring back cornerback Emmanuel Moseley.
"[Juszczyk is] important to us, and we're going to make every effort to try to keep him here," Lynch said in January. "I'm sure there'll be competition, and we understand that, but Kyle's a real important player to this football team, and we'll do everything we can to keep him here."
Juszczyk's agent tweeted out the following. Of course, Juszczyk was already the highest-paid fullback in the league—by a significant margin. The new deal will average $5.4 million per season.

Rapoport reported earlier today that the 49ers also hope to bring back offensive tackle Trent Williams and cornerback Jason Verrett, making the trio the team's top priority before free agency.
"Trent Williams, their left tackle, who they traded for last year, became a Pro Bowler and might have had his best season of his career," Rapoport said on NFL Network. "They want to bring him in. That's going to be big dollars. He has yet to accept their deal. We'll see if he ends up getting to free agency or if they can finalize it today.
"And then, of course, Jason Verrett, one of the coolest stories in the NFL. A comeback story for a player who spent most of his career injured; had a resurgent year last year. There's an attempt by the 49ers to keep him there."
