The San Francisco 49ers continue their homework on draft prospects. The team will likely look to add a rookie defensive back or two and has met virtually with former Oregon cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, per Justin Melo of The Draft Network. The New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, and Carolina Panthers are also among the teams to spoke with the prospect.

NFL teams are allowed to conduct up to five video calls per prospect leading to the draft, and each call can last up to one hour.

Before the pandemic, NFL teams could physically host visits with up to 30 out-of-region prospects and an uncapped number of local prospects. There is no limit to how many phone conversations NFL teams can conduct with draft-eligible players.

Lenoir (5-11, 195) recorded 154 tackles, four tackles for a loss, six interceptions, 27 passes defensed, and two forced fumbles in four seasons with the Ducks, per Oregon's athletics website. Thirty tackles, an interception, and one forced fumble came during his seven starts as a senior in 2020.

In 2020, Lenoir allowed a 53.1 completion percentage when targeted, per Pro Football Focus, which ranked third in the Pac-12 among cornerbacks with 30 or more targets.

San Francisco has several cornerbacks scheduled to become free agents next month. They include Richard Sherman, Jason Verrett, and K'Waun Williams.
