According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, former Miami (FL) tight end Brevin Jordan lists the San Francisco 49ers among the teams with which he has had "consistent" contact. The others are the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, and Kansas City Chiefs.

"There's a TON of interest in him, [and] it's easy to see why once you turn the tape on," writes Melo.

There has been some speculation that the 49ers might target a tight end in the draft, creating a duo consisting of All-Pro tight end George Kittle and a potentially talented rookie. That could become more vital to the offense's success should the team fail to re-sign fullback Kyle Juszczyk. At least a couple of prominent mock drafts had San Francisco selecting Florida tight end Kyle Pitts in Round 1.

NFL teams are allowed to conduct up to five video calls with prospects leading to the draft, and each can be a maximum of one hour. Teams will likely meet with as many players as possible heading into April's draft. There is no limit to how many phone conversations NFL teams can conduct with draft prospects.

Jordan (6-3, 245) had 105 receptions for 1,358 yards with 13 touchdowns in three seasons with the Hurricanes. He hauled in 38 passes for 576 yards with seven scores as a junior in 2020. The tight end's play helped Miami to an 8-3 record.

The 2021 NFL Draft is scheduled to begin on April 29.
