49ers kick off virtual week-long State of the Franchise event on Tuesday

With the COVID-19 pandemic still forcing many to practice social distancing, the San Francisco 49ers have opted to host a week-long virtual "State of the Franchise" event this offseason. It will begin Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. PT.

Below are the details of this year's virtual version of the typically fan-attended annual event, as provided by the 49ers Communications department.



What:
The San Francisco 49ers will host a week-long virtual State of the Franchise. Each day, the 49ers will drop two new episodes for the Faithful. General manager John Lynch, head coach Kyle Shanahan, as well as players, defensive coordinator Robert Saleh and special teams coordinator Richard Hightower will share their thoughts on the team, insight into the 2020 season and provide some offseason updates. CEO Jed York will announce the 29th inductee into the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame and President Al Guido will provide updates on the business side of the organization.

When:
Tuesday, June 23 - Friday, June 26
New episodes drop every night at 5 pm PT

Who:
Lynch, Shanahan, Saleh, Hightower, York, and Guido along with 49ers veteran players. Hosted by NFL Network's Peter Schrager, radio play-by-play announcer for the 49ers Greg Papa and 49ers senior team reporter Keiana Martin.

Why:
The theater-style event is being hosted virtually for the first time, providing the Faithful with the opportunity to hear directly from organizational leadership, the coaching staff and players as they talk 49ers football and preparations for the 2020 season.

49ers season ticket members and partners will have an exclusive early look at each episode 24 hours before general public release. All episodes will be available on the homepage of 49ers.com.
