The San Francisco 49ers shocked some fans with the first of their two first-round picks on Thursday. The team moved down one spot from No. 13 overall to select South Carolina DT Javon Kinlaw, leaving several wide receivers on the draft board.

Below are some of the reactions from Kinlaw's new 49ers teammates following the selection.

Kendrick Bourne on Thursday predicted that the 49ers would add a receiver. His choice was Henry Ruggs III of Alabama. Both he and Jerry Jeudy were still available.

Kinlaw this week named the 49ers as the team he most wanted to join.

"They just a wonderful group of guys, a talented group that works together," Kinlaw said via a Bleacher Report AMA. "They work together for the same goal, not individual achievements, and that's to get the win at the end of the day. That's what I want to be a part of, someone who looks at it as a whole."

Lynch held his annual pre-draft press conference on Monday, reflecting on the decision to take such a big chance on Lance. While such a bold move might have jeopardized jobs elsewhere, Lynch and Shanahan were blessed with some good fortune in the 2022 NFL Draft. Interestingly, the mock draft sees the team adding two legacy players. But before delving into that, let's examine the first three selections. Sikkema has the 49ers shoring up their offensive line at pick No. 31 with the selection of former Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan. Morgan allowed 14 pressures and two sacks in his 477 pass-blocking snaps at left tackle in 2023. He earned an impressive pass-blocking grade of 87.3 and an overall grade of
