The NFL has announced tight end George Kittle as a nominee for this week's FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Award following his stellar performance in Sunday's victory over the Chicago Bears. Kittle delivered an explosive outing, recording six receptions for 151 receiving yards, with an impressive 103 of those yards coming after the catch.
Several other standout nominees join Kittle for this week's award:
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen put on a dual-threat display, completing 22 of 37 attempts (59.5 percent) for 342 yards and three touchdowns, earning a 117.2 passer rating. He also rushed 10 times for 82 yards and three touchdowns, accounting for six total scores.
Minnesota quarterback Sam Darnold was nearly flawless, completing 22 of 28 attempts (78.6 percent) for 347 yards and five touchdowns, finishing with a perfect-like 157.9 passer rating.
Seattle running back Zach Charbonnet racked up 193 scrimmage yards (134 rushing, 59 receiving) and scored two rushing touchdowns, showcasing his versatility.
Minnesota wide receiver Jordan Addison hauled in eight receptions for 133 receiving yards and three touchdowns, making him a key part of his team's offensive dominance.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua recorded 178 scrimmage yards, including 162 receiving yards and 16 rushing yards, along with two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving).
FedEx allows fans to recognize the season's top skill-position performances by voting at NFL.com/FedEx. Notably, the FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week Awards no longer have positional restrictions. Instead, regardless of position, the two players with the most votes will be named winners when voting closes at noon PT on Wednesday.
As part of the initiative, FedEx will donate $2,000 in the names of each week's two winners ($4,000 total) to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). These donations will fund need-based scholarships for deserving HBCU students throughout the season.
