The Indianapolis Colts are singing former San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Sheldon Day to a one-year deal, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The #Colts are signing former #49ers DT Sheldon Day to a one-year deal, source said.
Day, 25, initially joined the 49ers after being claimed off waivers on November 20, 1017. He is preparing to enter his fifth NFL season.
The Jacksonville Jaguars made Day a fourth-round selection out of Notre Dame in 2016. He registered 15 combined tackles and a sack through 16 games and two starts with the 49ers in 2019. Day has recorded 53 combined tackles, six sacks, and four passes defensed through his four NFL seasons.
Day will re-join former defensive-line teammates DeForest Buckner, whom the 49ers traded to the Colts last week.
