The San Francisco 49ers have started the process of getting to know the incoming draft class. The team has already met with at least two receivers this week — Justin Jefferson of LSU and Jalen Reagor of TCU — according to the two players themselves.

Jefferson told Matt Barrows of The Athletic that his meeting with San Francisco was an informal one while Reagor told Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group the team asked about his versatility.
Jefferson is coming off a National Championship with the Tigers and hauled in 111 passes for 1,540 yards with 18 touchdowns through 15 games as a junior this past season. He measured at 6-foot-1 and 202 pounds this week at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
Reagor's best season came as a sophomore in 2018 when he caught 72 passes for 1,061 yards with nine touchdowns through 13 games and was named a second-team All-Big 12 selection and TCU's MVP. He showed off his diversity rushing 13 times for 170 rushing yards with two more scores that season while also contributing as a returner.
Reagor, coming off his junior year, measured in at 5-foot-11 and 206 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine.
49ers general manager John Lynch told reporters on Tuesday that the incoming rookie class of receivers is among the best he's ever seen.
"I mean, the depth of it, the top-end players, it's a really good class," Lynch added. "You kind of get whatever flavor you like. You like a smaller, quicker guy? Those guys are there. If you like the big guys that can move, those guys are there. If you like speed, that's there. If you like separators. And so I think the whole league is kind of smiling about that."
As the Super Bowl runner-ups, San Francisco currently owns the No. 31 overall selection and does not pick again until the fifth round in day three of the draft.
NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah explained earlier this month why Jefferson might be a good fit for the 49ers.
"We saw that (49ers) offense and what they can do running the football, how creative they were," Jeremiah said. "How about go get them Justin Jefferson from LSU, who (on) third-down red zones, especially working in the slot, he's just got a real comfortable, natural feel.
"And to let Justin Jefferson team up with Deebo Samuel, kind of be that one-two punch for the next decade for Jimmy Garoppolo and that Forty-Niner offense, man, it would be fun to watch."
