The San Francisco 49ers returned home amid less fanfare than the Kansas City Chiefs following Super Bowl LIV. That doesn't mean there weren't die-hard members of The Faithful there to welcome the team home and show their support for an otherwise impressive season.
In the video above by Randy Vazquez of the Mercury News, you can see the team arriving on its United flight with a few fans, like Adam DeMaestri and his son, there to greet them.
"I've been following the Niners my whole life and I love to share this with my boy, even though it was a loss," DeMaestri said. "They're just getting started. I think they have the right leadership, the right coaching, the right players, the right attitude. They're a great team, and I think the future is just getting started for them."
You can see head coach Kyle Shanahan acknowledging the fans as he exits the plane with some yelling out, "Thank you, Niners!"
