Perhaps it was a way to move on from the Super Bowl LIV loss quickly? Apparently, the San Francisco 49ers hosted an after-party outside the American Airlines Arena shortly after the devastating 31-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. And, according to TMZ Sports, the team was in high spirits during the bash.
It's certainly a different image from what most saw inside the visitor's locker room at Hard Rock Stadium, where dejected players reflected on the heartbreaking defeat.
The bash, described by TMZ Sports as an "all-out rager," featured Lil Wayne and DaBaby, who reportedly earned six-figures each for the performance.
"Lil Wayne and DaBaby each performed some of their hits," reports TMZ Sports, "the Niners players joined them on stage ... and Kyle Shanahan bro'd out with Tunechi!!"
The party was reportedly for players, coaches, and even the York family. Now, it is possible that the 49ers anticipated winning the game, and this was the celebration the team had planned. It was already paid for, so you might as well enjoy yourself, right?
By looking at the video from the after-party, it does look like the players had fun.
