It'll take some time for the San Francisco 49ers to get past the devastating loss in Super Bowl LIV. That goes for the team and its fans. Despite the disappointment running rampant across the Niner Empire, you have to tip your cap to what the Kansas City Chiefs were able to accomplish.

At least, that's what Steve Young says you have to do. You go ahead and do whatever feels right.

49ers CEO Jed York and general manager John Lynch did the classy thing and congratulated the Chiefs on accomplishing what they couldn't this season — bringing home the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

The two expressed how proud they are proud of the 49ers and everything they accomplished this season. York says the team will hold its head high and gave thanks to the fans for their support. Lynch did the same but also vowed to "be back."

For the 49ers, the long offseason begins. They will try to right their wrongs and compete again next season. Head coach Kyle Shanahan believes, with time, he and the team will be able to move past the defeat.

"We'll lick our wounds. We'll get over this," Shanahan said after the game. "We'll be fired up for next year. We've got a lot of people coming back. I think we surprised a lot of people this year. We knew we had a good team, and I'm very proud of the guys and how much better they got throughout this year. And I expect to get almost all these guys back. Plan on adding a few more.

"I'm going to rest a little bit, get over this some, but we'll be very fired up for next year."
