According to the Denver Post, the San Francisco 49ers are one of nine teams that are expected to at least inquire about a trade for Denver Broncos wide receiver Javon Walker.
The other teams include Tampa Bay, Dallas, Washington, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Carolina, Chicago and the New York Jets.
Deals can't be finalized until next Friday. Walker has a big contract and a history of knee issues. Any deal involving Walker would likely involve a conditional draft pick. If he's not traded by March 4, Denver will likely cut Walker, who is due $5.4 million in bonuses.

PFF: Javon Hargrave addition saves 49ers from 'very bad' offseason grade
Pro Football Focus awarded the San Francisco 49ers a grade of C for the team's offseason efforts. All 31 NFL teams earned higher marks for their efforts to improve their rosters.
It could have been a lot worse, though. The analytics site was not fond of the 49ers' moves in the draft. If not for one key offseason addition, San Francisco's grade might have been even lower.
"The addition of Javon Hargrave to an already dominant defense is the only thing saving this from a very bad offseason grade," wrote Sam Monson. "Hargrave accounted for 57 total pressures last season for the Eagles, more than double any 49ers interior lineman. Clelin Ferrell is a far more quietly solid
49ers OTAs: Brock Purdy may start throwing next week, Kyle Shanahan "pretty optimistic" about Week 1 return
On Tuesday, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an update on Brock Purdy. The second-year quarterback underwent surgery on March 10 to repair the tear of the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow, an injury he suffered in the NFC Championship Game in January.
Purdy is recovering well. There have been no setbacks as the quarterback works his way to increasing his workload.
"He's doing good," Shanahan said of his quarterback's recovery. "Still staying the same. [He's] on schedule."
The 49ers always believed that Purdy would be able to start throwing a football again sometime in early June. That's next week. The good news is that nothing about that timeline has changed.
"I think he's allowed to throw sometime

Kyle Shanahan feels "really fortunate" with 49ers' QB room
Kyle Shanahan praises his quarterback room every year. Last season, the San Francisco 49ers went through three starting quarterbacks and still made it to the NFC Championship Game. Trey Lance was the Week 1 starter but suffered a season-ending ankle injury during his second game. Eleven weeks later, Jimmy Garoppolo sustained a broken foot.
That opened the door for rookie Brock Purdy to show his coaches and the NFL world that he belonged, despite being the last overall pick in the draft. Purdy guided the 49ers to eight consecutive wins before suffering a severe injury in that NFC title game matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Two of the quarterbacks from last season—Lance and Purdy—remain. Both are just 23 years old. They are joined by Sam
