Cornerback Mackensie Alexander did not play in the Minnesota Vikings' Wild Card win over the New Orleans Saints this past weekend due to a knee injury. He will not be available to the Vikings on Saturday when they face the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium, either.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Alexander will undergo arthroscopic surgery for the small tear in his lateral meniscus. The surgery isn't necessarily season-ending, should the Vikings advance, but it will make the cornerback unavailable for this weekend, at least.
